For new sites and small lists
Free, with no time limit
- Up to 200 subscribers reached by each notification
- Every feature listed below
Visitors subscribe with one click. You send from your WordPress dashboard. Every subscriber stays in your own database, with no outside service in the middle and no per-message fees.
Free for up to 200 subscribers per send. Premium from $6.99 a month.
This is a working demo of what your visitors see. Click the bell to subscribe, then send yourself a notification.
There is no dashboard to log in to and no message quota. The plugin does the sending itself, from the server you already pay for.
Clicks Allow. Their browser creates a private subscription and hands it to your site.
Keeps the subscription in your own database. Encrypts each notification and sends it, with no external library to install.
Google, Mozilla, Microsoft, and Apple each deliver the notification to the visitor's device.
The only thing that reaches us is a license check. We never see your subscribers, your messages, or your send history.
Pick a popup, a floating bell, a shortcode button, or a popup that hands over to the bell. Every word is yours to edit, and both can sit in any of eight positions.
Write a title, a message, and a link, then send. Or turn on automatic notifications and every new post goes out the moment you publish it. Password-protected posts are skipped, so nothing private leaks.
Four WooCommerce triggers, all off until you switch them on. Three go to everyone who subscribed. The fourth goes to just one person: the shopper who left something in their cart.
Nothing personal ever appears in a notification. The new-order message says what was bought, never who bought it. Every title and message is editable, with placeholders like {product}, {total}, {old_price}, {new_price}, and {items}.
You choose the minimum price drop worth announcing (5% by default) and how long to wait before a cart reminder (60 minutes by default).
The plugin reads your hosting's own limits, picks a sending speed to match, and slows itself down mid-send if your server starts to struggle. It's built for lists up to 1,000,000 subscribers.
Hosted push services charge by list size, so the bill grows as you do. WP Push Notify is one flat price, and your subscribers stay on your own site.
| What we compared | WP Push Notify | A typical hosted push service |
|---|---|---|
| Paid plan price | $6.99 a month billed annually, or $8.99 billed monthly | Entry plans run from about $9 to $85 or more a month |
| What sets the price | One flat price for everyone | Subscriber tiers, and at some services a charge for every subscriber |
| As your list grows | The price stays the same | The price climbs with each tier |
| Where subscriber data lives | In your own WordPress database | On the provider's servers |
| Who sends the notifications | Your own server, straight to the browsers | The provider's servers |
| The free plan | The whole plugin, each notification reaching up to 200 subscribers | Usually capped by list size or number of campaigns |
| WooCommerce triggers | Back in stock, price drop, new order, and abandoned cart, all included | On some services, only on higher-priced plans |
| Segments, A/B tests, drip campaigns | Not included | Included on many plans |
| Support | Email, from a single developer | Often live chat, with priority support on higher plans |
Other services' prices come from public pricing information we reviewed in September 2026. Plans and prices change often, so check current prices before you decide. We don't name other products on purpose.

No. There's no Composer step and no outside library. Install and activate, and the plugin creates its own encryption keys. You need WordPress 5.8 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer, and a site that runs on HTTPS.
In your own WordPress database, on your own hosting. Notifications go from your server straight to each browser's push service. The only call the plugin makes to us is a license check.
Each notification reaches up to 200 subscribers. Every other feature works exactly the same. Premium removes that limit.
It runs anywhere WordPress runs over HTTPS, from shared hosting to dedicated servers. It reads your server's memory and time limits and picks a sending speed to match, and you can override that choice at any time.
No. The plugin tells WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, WP Fastest Cache, SiteGround Optimizer, and Autoptimize not to cache or delay its files. If another plugin ever clears the plugin's routes, it detects that and repairs itself the next time you open wp-admin.
Safari on iOS 16.4 and later supports web push for sites that have been added to the Home Screen. The plugin provides the web app manifest and home-screen icon that requires.
Yes, if you can export their push subscriptions as a CSV with endpoint, p256dh, and auth columns. Large files are imported in passes: if your server's time limit cuts one short, upload the same file again and it carries on safely.
No. One Premium license covers one website. To use Premium on another website, that site needs its own license. The Free plan can be used on any site.
