Who we are
WP Push Notify is operated by [legal business name], [business address and country]. You can reach us at wppushnotifypro@gmail.com.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers. It does load its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers to fetch them. If you send us a message, a review, or a request to list your site, we store what you write, plus the name and email address you give us. Reviews and site listings are only published after we approve them. We also keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address with each submission, to help us spot spam. We keep messages as long as needed to answer you and keep a record of support requests, and you can ask us to remove anything you sent at any time.
Buying the plugin
Purchases, subscriptions, and license management are handled by our payment and licensing partner, Freemius. When you buy, Freemius collects the details it needs to take payment and issue your license, under its own terms and privacy policy. We receive the information needed to support your purchase, such as your name, email address, and license details.
What the plugin does with data
WP Push Notify is self-hosted. It runs entirely on your own WordPress site and hosting.
- Subscriber data stays with you. Each subscription (a browser address and two encryption keys, plus the browser's user-agent text and the date it was created) is stored in your own WordPress database. We never receive it.
- Notifications are sent by your server. Your site sends each notification straight to the browser makers' push services (Google, Mozilla, Microsoft, and Apple). We are not in that path.
- The license check. The plugin uses the Freemius SDK to check your license periodically. This involves technical details about your installation, such as your site address and plugin version. Freemius explains exactly what it handles in its own privacy policy.
If you use the plugin on your website
You decide why and how you collect subscribers, so you are responsible for the data on your own site. We suggest you:
- Mention push notifications in your own privacy policy, including what is stored for each subscriber.
- Mention the small “remember my choice” cookie the popup uses to remember when a visitor chose Later. It holds no personal data and is not used for tracking.
- Only send notifications to people who chose to subscribe.
Visitors can turn notifications off at any time in their browser's site settings.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email wppushnotifypro@gmail.com. For anything Freemius holds, contact Freemius directly. Subscriber data on your own site is in your own database, and you can delete it yourself from the plugin's admin page.
Changes to this policy
